The fictional Jay Gatsby’s fortune was made during Prohibition and came via transporting and sales of liquor. He made deals under the guise of his weekly elaborate parties. Al Capone, (while being loathed by the Fed’s for his Prohibition criminal activities) was considered a great philanthropist to Chicago’s poor. The Feminist Movement began during this era with Suffragettes and women wanting ‘the vote’ heralding in ‘the Flappers’ and the ‘Jazz Age.’

At Gatsby’s Speakeasy restaurant located on the Oceanside of Cannon Beach the glamour and gangster themes are blended with a Nuevo steak, chops & seafood concept that provides weekly choices, beautiful global wines, vintage era cocktails and so much more!
